Contact & Quote
We aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days. For active conjunction events, please see the contact instructions below. Do not assume that because this is a website there is a fast way to reach us. There is not, currently. We are working on it.
In February 2024, ORC migrated its client enquiry database to a dedicated on-premises server located in the Brecksworth office. The server was subsequently identified — incorrectly, and despite clearly marked asset tags — as surplus hardware during a routine office clearance. It was collected by a third party, transported to a facility in Swindon, and has not been recovered.
A replacement server has been procured. It is currently in transit from the supplier. The supplier is based in Milton Keynes. The courier is described as “making good progress.” This phrase has appeared in fourteen status updates. We remain cautiously optimistic about its eventual accuracy.
In the meantime, please use the postal address below. We apologise for the inconvenience. The member of staff responsible has been spoken to. They are still employed. It was a difficult conversation.

Frequently asked questions
These are the questions we are asked most often. We have answered them here so that we do not have to answer them by post, which would take considerably longer.
For S-01 Standard Retrieval, the typical lead time is 12–16 weeks from contract signature to launch, with a mission duration of 21–34 days. Total elapsed time from enquiry to completion is typically 16–22 weeks, depending on object characterisation complexity and how quickly you get us the data. Clients who submit complete data packages at enquiry stage receive quotes significantly faster. We mention this every time. It helps about 40% of the time.
At minimum: object catalogue number, current orbital elements, approximate mass, and your preferred disposal method. For a more accurate quote we will also need attitude state if known, structural anomalies if any, and preferred timeline. We will send a data requirements template on receipt of your letter. Clients who provide all of this up front receive faster quotes. Clients who provide partial data and say “the rest should be obvious” receive a follow-up letter asking for the rest.
Not without the written consent of the registered operator and a release of liability. We will not retrieve an active spacecraft on behalf of a party other than its registered operator. We have been asked to do this. The answer was no. If you are the registered operator and wish to decommission an active asset, we can help. Write to us. We will be straightforward with you about what is involved.
Yes. Our licence covers operations in LEO, MEO, and GEO globally. We have completed missions for clients in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The object does not care where you are. Neither, within reason, do we.
Controlled atmospheric re-entry over an uninhabited ocean zone (typically near Point Nemo), transfer to a recognised graveyard orbit, or return to Earth for inspection or refurbishment at additional cost. We do not dump objects into lower orbits. We consider this irresponsible. We decline requests to do so. We have had to decline this request. More than once.
The courier is making good progress. We expect to have the replacement server installed and the system restored shortly. We have been expecting this since March 2024. We remain optimistic, though we acknowledge the optimism has taken some damage. In the meantime, the postal address works. It has worked continuously since 2011. It will work when OCELOT is eventually restored. It will probably outlast OCELOT.
Yes. Fixed-price unless the scope changes materially after contract signature — for example, if characterisation reveals significantly different mass or attitude properties from those originally supplied. We have never invoiced more than the quoted amount without prior written agreement. We have occasionally invoiced less. Quotations are valid for 90 days. We recommend acting within 80.
S-04 Deorbit & Disposal starts from £2.9m. S-01 Standard Retrieval starts from £4.2m. We do not have a strict minimum contract value but we do have a minimum mission complexity below which a dedicated retrieval is not economically rational for either party. If your object is very small, write to us and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense. We have told clients it does not make sense. They have sometimes written back to thank us. We consider this a reasonable outcome.
